Hello

I am Megha Kashyap.

I currently work as  the Decolonising Research Fellow at  London South Bank University. I lead the institutional commitment to embed anti-racism and decolonising the curriculum, research, and university practices through rigorous, evidence based participatory action research. Collaborating with teams across the university, I provide strategic direction to foster an inclusive learning environment. Over the past 3 years, my work has contributed to reducing racial awarding gaps and improved retention rates for Black and ethnic minority students. The evidence of the impact of my feminist leadership lies in the numerous award nominations, external grants, recognition and feedback I have received for my work.

Alongside my role at LSBU, I have a PhD in Development and Gender Studies from the Centre of Law, Media and Gender at SOAS, University of London.  I received a competitive and generous full scholarship from The Felix Trust to pursue my PhD.

Prior to joining a full time academic role, I worked for a decade in the international development space. I have led high performing teams of programmes/grantmakers, research, policy development and advocacy experts, in international development and feminist philanthropic organisations.
