Turning big questions into bold research - peppered with curiosity and humour

Summary

Sartre would say 'I am the sum of my actions', which means I am mostly emails, research papers left open on my chrome, and an alarming amount of chai. I navigate the world, asking big questions about everything while wondering if I remembered to mute myself on Teams. Somewhere between existential dread and endless curiosity, you will find me thinking, writing, and occasionally pretending I have it all figured out.

I come from a background built on insatiable curiosity, critical thinking, and a relentless quest to understand the world’s most complex puzzles. Before my deep dive into academia, I spent several years leading and managing complex multi-country projects, campaigning and advocacting for gender justice, and generally trying to save the world one email at a time. I have spent considerable amount of my early years of adulthood living with communities and working together on participatory action research on issues of women's economic empowerment, child protection and gender justice.

I am also a seasoned facilitator, educator, and researcher with a specialty in critical pedagogies, feminist leadership, mixed-methods and participatory action research.

My work has been recognised with multiple research grants and collaborations across the UK, North America, South Asia, and parts of Africa. And, if I have had enough coffee, you will find me designing workshops on anti-racism, equality, inclusivity, and social justice that may or may not involve games, deep conversations, and an uncomfortable amount of reflection. Every now and then, I even teach across disciplines like Game Design, Arts and Media, Business, Criminology, Curatorial Practice, Education, and everything in between, usually while hoping my laptop doesn’t crash mid-lecture.
